In November, farmers gained access to nearly 25,000 hectares of surveyed and cleared agricultural land, reported Yulia Svyrydenko.
This is part of the priority demining programme. Since the beginning of the year, deminers have cleared more than 309,000 hectares of farmland.
Key details from Yulia Svyrydenko, First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine:
- Over 280,000 hectares have already been transferred to farmers for use.
- Ukrainian deminers have made significant progress, especially in liberated areas of Kherson region, surveying over 250,000 hectares. Almost 245,000 hectares of this are now available for agricultural use.
Land Surveyed by Region:
- Kherson region: 251,100 hectares surveyed since the start of the year; 20,700 hectares cleared in November.
- Mykolaiv region: 20,900 hectares since the start of the year; 4,400 hectares cleared in November.
- Kharkiv region: 22,500 hectares surveyed since the start of the year; 1,000 hectares cleared in November.
