President Volodymyr Zelensky signed the law ‘On Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control’ (No. 3855-IX). This was reported on Telegram by the press service of the Verkhovna Rada.
‘The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the act on July 16. The act strengthens control over industrial pollution, ensures environmental protection, and creates conditions for safe living and health,’ the statement says.
The implementation of this law will contribute to: improving the state of the natural environment; reducing the impact of industrial discharges and emissions on the health of Ukrainian citizens; a gradual transition to modern, environmentally friendly green technologies; ensuring environmental safety and maintaining ecological balance.
Also, the implementation of this document will help reduce the number of permits in the field of environmental protection and establish a clear, transparent, and digitized process for obtaining an integrated environmental permit.
