Russia continues to use Belarusian airspace to launch strike drones against Ukraine.
This was stated on television by State Border Guard Service spokesperson Andrii Demchenko.
“Last night the enemy’s tactics remained unchanged: drones enter from Russian territory, then move along the Ukrainian–Belarusian border. Some of the drones cross Belarusian airspace and use it for further penetration deep into Ukraine, in particular through Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions, continuing toward western regions,” Demchenko said.
He noted that a significant number of drones were also detected over Chernihiv and Kyiv regions, although their main movement was not toward the west but mainly toward Kyiv.
"Over the past day, Ukrainian fire groups destroyed more than 45 strike drones," Demchenko added.
At the same time, he said there is currently no buildup of Russian or Belarusian forces directly near the Ukrainian border, and no signs of formation of a strike group.
The spokesperson also stated that Ukrainian units destroy dozens of strike drones attacking Ukraine every day.
During the night (14-15 June 2026) Russia launched 70 missiles and 611 drones against Ukraine, including more than 60 missiles targeting Kyiv.
