Serhii Shkarlet took part in the opening ceremony of InnoWeek2021


Today, November 23, 2021, the Minister of Education and Science Serhii Shkarlet took part in the opening ceremony of InnoWeek2021 as part of a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan.


InnoWeek2021 is an exhibition organized by the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan to present the potential and results of activities in the field of science, high technology, innovation and investment projects.

I am certain that the participation of rectors of Ukrainian higher education institutions and representatives of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine in InnoWeek2021 will contribute to the intensification of fruitful cooperation between the countries. I would like to note that Ukraine is currently undergoing significant changes and pursuing reforms in the field of science and innovation, so our main goal is to ensure their effective implementation, in particular through the development of international relations

The Minister reported on significant changes and reforms in the field of science and innovation, and stressed the need to ensure the reforms yield result, inter alia through the prism of development of international cooperation.

It was reported earlier that the MES delegation headed by Serhii Shkarlet is on a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Also Serhiy Shkarlet met with the Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Ibrohim Yulchevich Abdurakhmonov. Serhiy Shkarlet presented the draft Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation in science and technology.

During the meeting, the international competition of scientific, scientific and technical developments and innovative projects “PATON’S CITY. PATON BRIDGE » was created by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. Serhiy Shkarlet invited scientists, innovators, and entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan to join the competition.
