Slovakia will increase electricity supplies to Ukraine

Slovakia is preparing to increase electricity supplies to Ukraine during the autumn-winter period.

This was stated by Slovak President Peter Pellegrini during his visit to Poland, as reported by Pravda.

Pellegrini noted that Slovakia is indeed helping Ukraine significantly. He mentioned that this is evidenced by the increased production of ammunition and gun barrels at Slovak defense plants, as well as the export of electricity to Ukraine, whose capacity is being destroyed by Russian strikes.

"Since the beginning of the military conflict, Slovakia has supplied over 40,000 kWh of electricity to Ukraine, which has somewhat contributed to stabilizing Ukraine's energy system. We are preparing for the autumn-winter season, which is likely to be critical for Ukraine," the Slovak president said.

He also emphasized that Slovakia does not recognize the annexation of Crimea by Russia and the violent change of borders by Russia in eastern and southern Ukraine.
