The Security Service of Ukraine conducted a command-and-staff exercise to counter cyberterrorism. In particular, SSU cyber specialists, together with their colleagues from other sectors, practiced joint actions in the event of a coordinated enemy cyberattack on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure.

“The aggressor state constantly attacks our country in cyberspace. In 2025 alone, SSU specialists repelled more than 2,300 enemy cyberattacks. We have made significant progress in strengthening our cyber resilience and continue to improve our skills,” said SBU Deputy Head Brigadier General Serhii Naumyuk.

This was the first event of its kind in Ukraine, combining command-and-staff cyber exercises with panel discussions, where participants addressed current cybersecurity challenges and effective response strategies.

The forum brought together representatives of the public and private sectors, the defense industry, academia, and the expert community.

“The cyber threat is constant, as the enemy has evolved from local attacks to complex campaigns with tangible consequences for society. That’s why such command-staff and tactical-special exercises are essential. They help test the readiness of all systems and improve coordination across sectors. Our joint preparedness today determines how resilient Ukraine will be tomorrow,” concluded SSU Cybersecurity Department Head Volodymyr Karasteliov.
