Ukraine's annual inflation accelerated to 11.2%, with consumer prices rising by 1.9% in November 2024, according to the State Statistics Service.
"Inflation in the consumer market in November 2024 compared to October 2024 amounted to 1.9%, and since the beginning of the year, it has reached 10.4%," the report states.
Year-over-year, consumer prices increased by 11.2% compared to November 2023, up from 9.7% in October.
November Market Trends:
Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages: Prices rose by 3.9%. Eggs saw the sharpest increase (54.6%). Other significant increases ranged from 13.7% to 1.5% for vegetables, dairy products, butter, sunflower oil, processed grains, bread, non-alcoholic beverages, pasta, fish, and seafood. Conversely, fruit and sugar prices fell by 1.5% and 1.3%, respectively.
Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco: Prices increased by 1.3%, driven by a 2.0% rise in tobacco product costs.
Clothing and Footwear: Prices dropped by 2.2%, with footwear decreasing by 2.7% and clothing by 1.7%.
Healthcare: Prices rose by 0.6%, mainly due to a 1.0% increase in outpatient services.
