The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine has recently received a lot of information from farmers in the temporarily occupied territories that the Russian invaders are stealing their grain en masse.
These facts were confirmed by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Mykola Solsky in an interview with Nastoyaschee Vremya TV channel.
"All agribusiness, which traditionally communicates with each other, knows about these facts. I personally hear this from many elevator owners in the occupied territories. This is an outright robbery, which is sometimes even attempted to document, even to draw up some acts. And this is happening everywhere in the occupied territories - an exceptional surge has been observed over the past two weeks," Mykola Solsky said.
According to the Minister, all this is reminiscent of the 1930s and once again shows the true face of the Russian aggressor.
Mykola Solsky predicts that such a situation could threaten certain food problems in the currently temporarily uncontrolled territories.
"There will soon be a wheat harvest in the south. But farmers in this situation may well say: "Here are the keys to the tractor - go collect yourself, if you want," - he added. According to Mykola Solsky, this path will end badly for the invaders.
As for the course of sowing throughout Ukraine, according to the Minister of Agrarian Policy, farmers in all regions of Ukraine, from Kharkiv to Lviv, are currently facing difficulties. But everywhere, they try to sow.
"Agrarians are confident in themselves, in the army. They have the same support mood as all the citizens who are now fighting for their independence. I believe that those who decide to sow are doing absolutely the right thing, despite some difficulties with the logistics of grain and the availability of fuel, which is currently available," said the Minister.
The war in Ukraine and the food problems caused by it are affecting many countries around the world and almost the entire African continent.
