After a Ukrainian strike on the Kavkazskaya oil pumping station in Russia's Krasnodar region, oil transportation from this point "will be impossible in the near future," according to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC).

According to the consortium, oil suppliers used the Kavkazskaya station to send at least 130,000 tons per month into the CPC system. In 2024, the total volume of oil transported through the station reached approximately 1.51 million tons.

It is noted that after Ukrainian drones struck the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station, the projected annual transportation volume for this route was reduced. Now, following the destruction of Kavkazskaya, transportation will no longer be possible. Currently, CPC is continuing restoration work on Kropotkinskaya.

  • On February 17, 2025, Ukraine’s SSU and Special Operations Forces attacked the Ilsky oil refinery and the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station in Russia’s Krasnodar region with drones.
  • SSU drones had previously struck this refinery in February 2024, damaging a $50 million primary oil processing unit, according to a source.
  • On March 19, drones targeted the Kavkazskaya oil pumping station. Although it is not owned by CPC, it was used to transfer oil into the CPC pipeline system via a connecting pipeline.
