Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, visited the units participating in combat operations in the Kursk direction. He shared this update on Facebook.
Syrskyi emphasized that the importance of this operational area cannot be underestimated, given the concentration of Russian forces there.
“If not for the resilience of our soldiers, these tens of thousands of enemy troops from Russia’s best assault units would be storming our positions in the Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, or Toretsk directions, significantly worsening the frontline situation,” the general stated.
According to the Commander-in-Chief,
“Currently, following their military leadership’s orders, they are attempting to push our forces back and advance deeper into the territory under our control. Our task in this direction is to hold back and eliminate the enemy on their own ground.”
Thus, Syrskyi noted, his work was focused on assisting commanders in organizing combat actions, enhancing the effectiveness of fire strikes against Russian forces, and addressing issues of comprehensive support and reserve preparation.
