On November 20, there were 54 combat clashes on the main front lines, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold positions on the left bank of Kherson region. This information is provided in the evening summary from the General Staff.
During the day, the Defense Forces' aviation conducted 2 strikes in areas with enemy personnel concentrations. In turn, the enemy delivered 3 airstrikes and carried out 12 shelling attacks with reactive volley fire systems on the positions of our troops and civilian settlements. Unfortunately, due to Russian terrorist attacks, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Private residential houses and other civilian infrastructure have suffered damages and destruction.
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains complex. On the Volyn and Polissia directions, there are no significant changes in the operational situation. There are no signs of forming offensive groups, and identified units of the Belarusian armed forces are performing tasks in border areas with Ukraine.
The situation on other fronts is as follows:
Kupyansk axis: the enemy conducted assault operations in the vicinities of Synkivka, east of Petropavlivka (Kharkiv region), where Ukrainian defenders repelled 10x attacks. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Berestove (Kharkiv region).
Lyman axis: the adversary conducted no offensives (assaults). The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk region), Verkhnokamyanske, Torske, Rozdolivka, Spirne (Donetsk region).
Bakhmut axis: the invaders made failed assaults in the vicinities of Klishchiivka, Andriivka and east of Pivdenne (Donetsk region), where Ukrainian defenders repelled 19x attacks. More than 10x settlements, including Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka (Donetsk region), came under artillery and mortar fire.
Avdiivka axis: the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove and Avdiivka (Donetsk region), where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 7x attacks. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 15x settlements, including Oleksandropil, Keramik, Avdiivka, Sjeverne, Tonenke, Pervomaiske (Donetsk region).
Maryinka axis: the adversary made unsuccessful assaults in the vicinities of Maryinka, Pobjeda and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk region), where Ukrainian defenders repelled 10x attacks. Around 10x settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, Pobjeda (Donetsk region), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.
Shakhtarske axis: the invaders conducted assault operations west of Staromaiorske (Donetsk region), to no success. Ukrainian defenders repelled 2x assaults in the area. Around 10x settlements, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, Urozhaine (Donetsk region), came under artillery and mortar fire.
Zaporizhzhia axis: the invaders made failed assaults in the vicinities of Robotyne and northwest of Verbove (Zaporizhzhia region). More than 20x settlements, including Poltavka, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Mali Shcherbaky, Robotyne, Kamyanske (Zaporizhzhia region), Nikopol (Dnipropetrovsk region) came under artillery and mortar fire.
Kherson axis: the settlements of Sofiivka (Kherson region) and the city of Kherson suffered from enemy artillery shelling.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation on Melitopol axis and offensive (assault) operations on Bakhmut axis, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy all along the front line.
Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold their ground on the left bank of the Dnipro River (Kherson region) and continue to inflict fire on the Russian forces.
