The Defense Forces shot down 103 drones used by the Russians to attack Ukraine on the evening of Monday, February 17.
This was reported on Telegram by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On the night of February 18, 2025 (starting from 19:00 on February 17), the Russian forces launched an attack with 176 strike drones of the Shahed type and various types of decoy drones from six directions: Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and the occupied Crimea.
The air assault was countered by aviation, air defense missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 09:00, the confirmed downing of 103 Shahed-type strike drones and other UAVs has been recorded in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions.
67 decoy drones were lost from radar tracking (with no negative consequences).
As a result of the attack, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Kyiv, and Cherkasy regions suffered damage.
