All military units of the "Drone Line" project of the Ukrainian Ground Forces have been merged with the Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems Forces into a single formation.

This was reported by the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF).

The combined formation was created to improve command efficiency, transform the Forces, and adapt to the demands of modern warfare.

“For the first time, the units will operate within a unified command vertical—with a defined structure, clear coordination, and a shared vision of drone tactics,” the report states.

This will ensure the implementation of standardized approaches, coordinated actions, and a more systematic combat use of unmanned systems. The formation is commanded by the USF commander, Robert "Madyar" Brovdi.

The USF noted that this merger is one of the key stages in the implementation of the 100-day development plan for the Unmanned Systems Forces.

According to Brovdi, the 100-day development plan for the USF runs until September 18.

The creation of the combined USF formation is a foundational stage of the plan, which will provide:

  • a unified concept;
  • implementation of standardized approaches in reconnaissance, planning, tactics, calculations of expenditures and needs, reporting/verification system for all drone operations (not only strikes), operational analysis of the effectiveness of drone and ammunition use, and as a result – moving away from paper reporting, forming the real demand for drones and ammunition—from the crew level up to the command level;
  • coordinated actions;
  • systematic combat employment of unmanned systems, with rational positioning of the formation’s units according to frontline challenges.
