The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has separated the formation of procurement policy and its implementation, thereby transitioning to the standards of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klimenkov made this statement during a meeting with the Political Advisor of the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Christian Moore, as reported by the website of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Within the structure of the ministry, the Procurement Policy Department has been established, responsible for shaping procurement policy. The actual procurement activities have been delegated to separate agencies - the "State Logistics Operator" and the "Defense Procurement Agency."

Dmytro Klimenkov emphasized that the Ministry of Defense is working to align compatibility with the North Atlantic Alliance in the areas of procurement organization, budgetary processes, integrity, and institutions.

"Cooperation with NATO countries is a unique opportunity to leverage advanced military experience and integrate it into our own defense system. We aspire to improve standards, enhance the qualifications of our military personnel, and strengthen the country's defense capability," said the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
