The Ministry of Digital Transformation plans to launch a grant programme for factories producing explosives.

As Vice Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science, and Technology Development and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov told the My-Ukraine TV channel, funding for missiles continues. However, this is not the only direction for the ministry this year.

"We continue to fund grant programmes related to missiles. This is a priority this year. We also plan to launch a separate grant programme for factories producing explosives. Right now, our focus is on drones that operate at operational depth, such as 'Lancet' drones. These are important, drone swarms, and the integration of artificial intelligence," said the minister.

According to him, this also involves ground platforms that work on logistics, on the front line, transporting ammunition and other important supplies for Ukrainian troops.

"Currently, the area of electronic warfare (REW) is actively developing. So, every three months, there are significant changes in one technology or another. Therefore, we try to respond to all the changes that occur, but of course, the missile programme remains an important and stable priority," Fedorov assured.

When asked if explosives are already being produced, particularly by private companies, the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation said that, as far as he knows, there are at least 40 private companies engaged in production.

"These are manufacturers of ammunition, companies that produce explosives. And every month, quarter, the number of companies is growing. We are launching a grant programme that will allow manufacturers to receive non-repayable grants and scale their own production. A lot of innovative developments are happening in the production of explosives," said the Vice Prime Minister.
