The Netherlands have joined the ZBROYARI initiative: Manufacturing Freedom

The Netherlands has allocated 60 million euros for the purchase of drones for Ukraine. Of this amount, 20 million euros will go towards the purchase of FPV drones as part of the international drone coalition, 22.5 million euros for Dutch drones, and 17.5 million euros for Ukrainian-made maritime drones.

The allocation of funds was announced by Dutch Minister of Defense Kajsa Ollongren following her visit to Ukraine. There, she, along with Vice Admiral Jan Willem Hartman, visited various drone manufacturing companies and military facilities, including a drone training center.

"With each visit, I am impressed by the resilience of Ukrainian society and its dedicated people: both military and civilian. The Netherlands can also learn a lot from the enormous innovative and creative capacity of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It is a pleasure to share experiences with each other," said Kajsa Ollongren.

In Kyiv, Kajsa Ollongren met with Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov.

"The Netherlands is the third country, after Denmark and Canada, to join our arms initiative by allocating funds for the purchase of weapons for the Ukrainian Armed Forces within our country. We are grateful to our partners for their faith in the Ukrainian defense and for their consistency in supporting it. We continue to work together and have agreed to hold a bilateral defense industry forum this autumn," said Minister of Strategic Industries Olexander Kamyshin.

ZBROYARI: Manufacturing Freedom is a global fundraising campaign, a strategic collection among partner countries. Its goal is to raise $10 billion for the production of Ukrainian weapons in 2024. As part of the project, we already have three donations — besides the Netherlands, Denmark allocated $28.5 million, and Canada $2.1 million for the purchase of Ukrainian weapons for the Ukrainian military.
