The information was reported by the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, both sides highlighted the high level of Ukrainian-Norwegian partnership, which is founded on shared values and mutual trust. Deputy Minister Mishchenko expressed gratitude to Norway for its steadfast support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for Oslo’s significant contribution to strengthening the country’s defense capabilities.
Special attention was given to the coordination of international efforts aimed at holding Russia accountable for its crimes against Ukraine and to the importance of increasing sanctions pressure on the aggressor state.
The parties also discussed the prospects for Ukrainian-Norwegian cooperation in rebuilding critical infrastructure and implementing joint humanitarian and cultural projects. Mishchenko expressed hope that, regardless of the outcome of the parliamentary elections in Norway taking place today, the new Storting and the Norwegian government will continue to deepen strategic partnership with Ukraine.
The Deputy Minister wished Ambassador Hansen success in his diplomatic mission, which is expected to further strengthen Ukrainian-Norwegian relations in the spirit of strategic cooperation.
