The President and First Lady, together with foreign leaders, honored the memory of fallen soldiers

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska paid tribute to the fallen defenders of Ukraine at the People's Memorial of National Remembrance in Kyiv.

The ceremony was also attended by foreign leaders who arrived in Ukraine on the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion: President of Finland Alexander Stubb, President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs, President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda, President of the European Council António Costa, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, Estonian Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš, Icelandic Prime Minister Katrín Jakobsdóttir, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu, and French Minister for European Affairs Benjamin Haddad.

 

 

Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk, along with Members of the European Parliament, and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal with European Commission members, also honored the fallen heroes.

Those present paid their respects with a moment of silence to commemorate Ukrainians who gave their lives for their country.
