In the Siversk sector, the number of artillery shellings has increased 2–3 times, and the use of aviation has become more frequent compared to the beginning of this year. The Russian forces are trying to straighten the line of contact to ensure logistics.
This was reported on television by Lieutenant Colonel Dmytro Zaporozhets, spokesman for the 11th Army Corps.
“In general, the number of artillery shellings in the Siversk direction has increased. If in January–February at the beginning of the year there were 50–60 strikes, now we are seeing 150–180 strikes. That is, the artillery component has increased 2–3 times. The number of aviation strikes has also increased compared to the spring of this year. The use of tactical aviation, in particular Shahed drones, is concentrated in the Siversk direction — towards the settlement of Sloviansk,” Zaporozhets noted.
According to him, the Russian forces are trying to straighten the line of contact in the Siversk sector to secure its logistics.
“The enemy is trying to carry out offensive actions in the direction of the settlements of Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Ivano-Darivka in order to straighten the line of contact, to ensure the delivery of ammunition, and overall to activate those sections of the front where the number of personnel has likely increased,” he said.
