Three people were killed and four more injured in the Sumy region over the past 24 hours as a result of Russian shelling, the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported on Telegram.

“As a result of Russian shelling in the region throughout the day, three people were killed. A woman born in 1961 was killed in the Richky community due to GAB air-dropped bomb strikes; another woman born in 1940 was killed in the Novoslobidska community. A civilian man born in 1967 had earlier died in the Bilopillia community,” the statement reads.

Four people were wounded: one each in the Shostka and Buryn communities, and two in the Novoslobidska community.

Between the morning of May 9 and the morning of May 10, Russian forces carried out more than 150 attacks on 32 settlements across 15 territorial communities in the region. The most intense shelling occurred in the Sumy, Shostka, and Konotop districts.

The Russian forces used nearly 70 GAB bombs, launched 20 FPV drone attacks, and dropped approximately 20 VOG grenades from drones. Shelling also came from “Smerch” multiple rocket launchers, and rockets were fired from helicopters using NAR-type munitions.

As a result of the attacks, six private homes were damaged in the Richky community; non-residential buildings were hit in Shostka; private houses and civilian infrastructure were affected in the Novoslobidska community. In Bilopillia, a store, 17 private homes, 10 outbuildings, and civilian infrastructure were damaged. Civilian infrastructure was also hit in the Druzhba community.
