The First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, and the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine, Martin Jaeger, signed a Joint Declaration to renew and extend the "Business Partnership with Germany" programme for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The programme aims to establish business contacts between Ukrainian entrepreneurs and German businesses and communities, promoting the development of SMEs and their expansion into international markets.
"Today, we are renewing our cooperation programme with Germany and extending it for another three years. It will foster long-term partnerships, experience sharing, enhance the skills of Ukrainian entrepreneurs, and open up new opportunities for joint project implementation," emphasized Yulia Svyrydenko.
Under the programme, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) will organize competitions for leaders of Ukrainian SMEs over the next three years. Winners will have the opportunity to undergo online training and training in Germany, participate in practical workshops, visit German companies, and establish direct business contacts.
Cooperation between Ukraine and Germany in the field of small and medium-sized business development has been ongoing for more than 20 years. During this time, approximately 1,900 Ukrainian managers have completed training that helped them integrate the best international business practices and expand export opportunities.
Currently, the programme not only supports the development of Ukrainian entrepreneurship but also contributes to the reconstruction of our country. The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine expresses gratitude to the German government and GIZ for their support of Ukrainian business operations, particularly amid the ongoing war, and encourages entrepreneurs to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the updated programme.
