The company Ukrainian Armored Vehicles and the Czechoslovak Group (CSG) have signed an agreement for the joint production of 155-mm shells.

This was reported by Militarnyi following the Second International Defense Industry Forum (DFNC2).

Ukrainian Armored Vehicles signed a cooperation package with the Czech holding CSG. One agreement pertains to the supply of components, while another focuses on the licensing of ammunition production, which involves the transfer of technology and documentation for the manufacturing of artillery shells.

According to the report, the production will include standard 155-mm high-explosive fragmentation shells (155 MM HE M107), 155-mm shells with a range of 43 km using Base Bleed technology, and 155-mm shells with a range of 37 km with Boat Tail technology. Additionally, the production of other artillery rounds, as well as NATO-caliber tank rounds, is planned.

Production is set to begin in early 2025.

Vladyslav Belbas, head of Ukrainian Armored Vehicles, stated that about 100,000 shells are expected to be produced next year, with over 300,000 in 2026. The equipment preparation process has already started.

Some of the ammunition will be produced in Ukraine, while some will be made in the Czech Republic, which will allow the companies to increase production volumes and reduce the cost of the finished rounds.
