Today, Ukraine received grant funding in the amount of EUR 88.5 million. This resource was provided from the World Bank's Donor Trust Fund under the Second Economic Recovery Development Policy Programme for Ukraine.

Grant funding will be directed to the general fund of the State Budget of Ukraine to provide priority social, humanitarian, healthcare expenditures, support for internally displaced persons.

Background

On April 21, Finance Minister Serhii Marchenko and World Bank Regional Country Director for Eastern Europe (Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine) Arup Banerji signed an Agreement to grant Ukraine a grant of EUR 88.5 million from the Trust Fund.

The Trust Fund was established by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association.
