Today, Ukraine received another €3.5 billion tranche from the EU under the Ukraine Facility programme. This is the first financial support tranche Ukraine has received in 2025. It was made possible by fulfilling 13 indicators outlined in Ukraine's Plan for the fourth quarter of 2024.
"Of the €3.5 billion received, €3.1 billion are concessional loans, while €400 million are grant funds. This is significant support from our European partners and a confirmation of the right course of reforms. The allocated funds are directed toward covering state expenditures. We will continue implementing necessary changes under the Ukraine Facility programme to align with European standards and integrate Ukraine into the EU economic space," said Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Yuliia Svyrydenko.
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, as the national coordinator of the programme, continues to monitor the implementation of Ukraine’s Plan and prepare regular reports for the European Commission.
Background:
Ukraine Facility is a financial support programme from European partners designed to run until 2027, providing €50 billion for state budget financing and investment stimulation. In 2024, under the Ukraine Facility initiative, Ukraine’s state budget received over €16 billion, making it the largest source of Western support and accounting for 40% of the country's external financing that year.
