Ukraine will prioritize enhancing political dialogue, expanding economic cooperation, and engaging Japan in the country’s recovery efforts.

This was stated on social media by Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha.

The head of Ukrainian diplomacy noted that the Ukraine-Japan Forum, in which he is participating as a member of the Ukrainian delegation, marks an important milestone in strengthening bilateral cooperation and Ukraine’s resilience.

Sybiha thanked Japan for its vital assistance and unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“Our further agenda will focus on strengthening political dialogue, expanding business and investment ties, advancing Japan’s role in Ukraine’s recovery, and deepening our cooperation through soft power diplomacy,” the minister wrote.

He added that last night Russia again attacked Kyiv and Odessa, destroying not only Ukraine but also the foundations of international law. In this context, the Foreign Minister emphasized that amid Russia’s escalating terror, strong international unity and solidarity are needed more than ever.

“United, we will achieve a just peace, restore Ukraine, strengthen our economies, and reinforce the rules-based international order,” Sybiha affirmed.
