Ukraine's air defenses shot down 130 of 151 UAVs and one Kh-59 missile

During the night of July 1 (from 6:00 p.m. on June 30), the Russian forces attacked with an Iskander-M ballistic missile launched from occupied Crimea, a Kh-59 guided air-launched missile fired from the Black Sea, and 151 attack UAVs—including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya decoy drones—launched from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), temporarily occupied Donetsk region, and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.

The air attack was repelled by fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 7:30 a.m., Ukraine’s air defenses had shot down or suppressed the Kh-59 guided air-launched missile and 130 UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones, over the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.

Seventeen attack drones struck targets at 16 locations, while debris from intercepted drones fell at four locations. Information regarding the ballistic missile’s impact is being clarified. No reports of damage or casualties have been received so far.
