Ukrainian company MacPaw, known for popular Mac applications such as CleanMyMac and Setapp, presented Eney at CES 2025.
According to MacPaw, Eney is more than just another AI assistant; it's more like a friendly companion or colleague. The AI assistant will offer a range of features designed to simplify tasks on a Mac, including:
- Sending emails for you
- Converting a file format
- Uninstalling apps
- Writing notes
- Cleaning your Mac for you
- Quickly trimming videos
- Downloading videos for you
- Helping you sort through unread emails
- Extracting audio from a video
Eney will integrate with MacPaw products as well as third-party solutions. The assistant will be available as a small window on the Mac, performing most tasks in the background without requiring programs to be open in the foreground. Certain apps will have miniature interfaces within Eney if needed. MacPaw’s team aims to create large language models to handle Eney's tasks on the device, although these are still in the early stages of development. For now, Eney will rely on cloud-based models.
