The State Customs Service of Ukraine has announced the introduction of artificial intelligence into its services, which will significantly simplify the car customs clearance process for citizens.
This was reported by the press service.
Now, Ukrainians will be able to use the updated section “Import of Passenger Cars” in their personal account on the “Single Window for International Trade” portal. With the use of artificial intelligence, the customs declaration process has become faster and more convenient.
How it works:
- The user enters the vehicle’s VIN code, and the system automatically retrieves the necessary technical information about the vehicle.
- The user uploads a photo of the car's technical passport, and AI reads all the data contained in the document.
- Based on the gathered information, the system automatically fills in the relevant fields of the declaration and suggests options for other fields based on the VIN code.
Advantages:
- Users no longer need to manually enter large amounts of data.
- The car customs clearance process is significantly accelerated.
- Automatic data recognition reduces the risk of errors.
The Customs Service notes that this is just the beginning of using artificial intelligence to simplify customs procedures. In the future, it is planned to expand the list of services available electronically and introduce new technologies to improve the efficiency of the Customs Service.
