In Odessa, the work on the "Hadzhibey Fortress" movie was finished.

The film was directed by Konstantin Konovalov, commissioned by the Ukrainian State Film Agency. The working title of the film is “Memory of the Sun”. The movie was created in co-production with Georgia and Turkey. October 26, 2018 Odessa Film Studio signed a co-production agreement with Georgian International Films LLC for joint production

The project of this historical adventure film became one of the winners of the Ninth State Cinema Competition and received state financial support of 14 million 11 thousand 34 hryvnias, which is almost 50% of the total cost of film production.

The story takes place in the XVIII century during the war of the Russian and Ottoman empires. According to the plot, Kozak Andrey must transmit important information to Istanbul. To do this, he needs to free the father of his beloved Fatima from the prison.

Many of our favorite films were shot at the Odessa Film Studio. That is why we decided to shoot a film in the best traditions of our "golden fund" - we wanted to give the audience a good movie for families, a movie about friendship, love and the victory.

The authors of the script are Yevgeny Timoshenko and Konstantin Konovalov. The Ukrainian State Film Agency reported that the film already has distributors in Ukraine and abroad. The premiere is also planned to be held in Kyiv, Istanbul, Tbilisi and Odessa.

The release is scheduled for October 2020.
