In 2025, Ukrainian seaports achieved over 95% of their planned cargo turnover.
According to the State Enterprise Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine (AMPU), the planned cargo turnover for 2025 was 86.2 million tons, while the actual result reached 82.2 million tons, or 95.36% of the plan. The forecasted figure of 81.769 million tons was exceeded, achieving 100.5% of the projected target.
Agricultural products remained the main driver, accounting for 44.2 million tons, or 53.7% of total cargo.
Container transport saw significant growth, with 215,748 TEU handled over the year compared to 129,902 TEU in 2024.
Ukrainian products were exported to 55 countries worldwide.
The enterprise noted that frequent air raid alerts and strikes on port infrastructure were a major challenge in 2025. In Odessa region alone, air raid alerts were issued over 800 times, resulting in more than one month of operational downtime for the ports.
