JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry (UOP) and the Canadian company Roshel have signed an agreement for the joint production of armored personnel carriers.

""The Ukrainian defense industry complex is expanding its partnerships globally. Armored vehicles from the Canadian company are already being used by the Ukrainian military. Producing this equipment in Ukraine will significantly accelerate its delivery to combat units. At the same time, it will strengthen the Ukrainian economy and provide local manufacturers with access to new technologies. In this way, Ukraine’s defense industry is gradually integrating into the defense-industrial base of the free world," said Minister for Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin.
The Ukrainian enterprise will receive the necessary technical documentation and component materials for vehicle production.
"We are localizing the production of Western armored vehicles, which is a great testament to the adaptability of our manufacturing sector. At the same time, we continue to develop our own tanks and armored combat vehicles. The synergy of Western and Ukrainian armor should become a strong foundation for our Defense Forces," stated Oleh Huliak, Director General of the joint-stock company Ukrainian Defense Industry.
