On Tuesday, February 14, 2023, United States Air Force fighter jets intercepted four Russian military aircraft in the Alaska area. We are talking about the Tu-95, Su-30 and Su-35.

According to the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), the Russian aircraft remained in international airspace and did not enter US or Canadian sovereign airspace.

A similar incident happened the day before. On February 13, US fighter jets intercepted four Russian military aircraft in an air defense identification zone near Alaska. Among them was the Tu-95.

On February 14, 2023, two Dutch F-35 fighters intercepted a group of three Russian military aircraft near Poland. We are talking about the Russian Il-20M, which was accompanied by two Su-27s.

In October 2022, American F-16 fighters spotted, tracked, identified, and intercepted two Russian Tu-95 Bear-H bombers near Alaska. Russian aviation entered and operated in the US air defense identification zone.
