The subsidiary company of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia — UZ Cargo Poland — has become an associate member of the International Association Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TMTM), as reported by Rail-news.kz.
Recently, a meeting of the International Association Trans-Caspian International Transport Route was held in Baku, Azerbaijan. The meeting presented the report on the activities of the TMTM Association for 2024, as well as information about cargo transportation volumes along the route. During the event, a meeting protocol and a memorandum of understanding and mutual support were signed between JSC "NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy and PTC Holding.
As a result of the meeting, JSC Poti TransTerminal (Georgia), Xi’an Free Trade Port Construction and Operation Co., LTD (China), and UZ Cargo Poland Sp. z o.o. (Poland) were admitted as associate members of the International Association TMTM.
It is noted that in 2024, the route transported 3.3 million tons of cargo, which is 20% more compared to 2023. The volume of container transportation amounted to 56.5 thousand TEU, which is 176% higher than in 2023. The number of container trains sent from China in 2024 increased by 33 times compared to 2023.
