During the plenary session of the Third Summit of the Crimea Platform, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that the Crimean peninsula will be liberated from occupation, like the rest of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

“Ukraine does not trade territories, because Ukraine does not trade people. Everyone present here, participating in the Crimea Platform, and all those who have supported the Peace Formula, while striving to bring an end to the unlawful and unprovoked Russian aggression, affirm that human life is invaluable. This principle holds immense significance. It should be the cornerstone of international relations – that life is invaluable. Equally invaluable is international law, which upholds the safeguarding of life,” the President of Ukraine remarked.

“We understand how we will return to Crimea. We understand how many steps need to be taken. We understand how difficult this task is. But we see this path. In the year that has passed since the previous meeting on the Crimea Platform, Ukrainian soldiers have done extraordinary things. Ukraine has shown that the liberation of our land during military operations is not an accident. Well deserved. This is the heroism of our people. And defensive support from our partners. The courage of Ukrainians and the solidarity of the world who work for a common result,” the President of Ukraine said.

“Whenever Russia gets involved, violence becomes the norm. We will ensure the rule of law. We will return to the true meaning of the infrastructure of Crimea. Throughout the history of Crimea, its ports and roads have been connected to Ukraine and the whole world. Russia has caused the isolation of Crimea. We will return the whole world to Crimea,” the President of Ukraine explained.

At the same time, Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the post-war transformation of Ukraine would provide Crimea with such economic changes that will allow it to work and be economically attractive all year round, and not just in the season.

President of Ukraine said that on the sidelines of the Summit, Ukraine will sign the first document with fifteen companies that are ready to come to Crimea after deoccupation.

“This is an open document that is open for other businesses to join. Thousands of Ukrainian, European and global companies will come to Crimea. Companies such as Ryanair and Royal Haskoning have already announced their readiness to invest. The restoration of Crimea is supported by the World Tourism Organization and the World Council for Travel and Tourism, representing more than 200 companies with a turnover of more than 6 600 billion”, the President of Ukraine said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also listed dozens of large Ukrainian international companies that are already ready to enter Crimea in case of deoccupation.
