President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited the War Veterans Hospital and the Superhumans Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center in Lviv.

The Head of State inspected the work of the medical center, spoke with medical staff and warriors recovering from wounds.

“I really want to thank you guys for your service, for defending our state. Thank you, your brothers-in-arms. I wish you a speedy recovery. And I am very grateful to our doctors for their help,” the President said.

Volodymyr Zelensky awarded six defenders with the Orders “For Courage,” III class.

Additionally, the Head of State got acquainted with the work of the Superhumans Center, where he also talked to Ukrainian warriors undergoing rehabilitation and prosthetics.

“First and foremost, I want to thank you all, my dearest Ukrainians, our esteemed warriors, for defending our state. You have preserved it. I am confident that this is part of our great victory, and it is all of you who are an integral part of it,” the President said.

The co-founders of the Center, Andrey Stavnitser and Olga Rudneva, explained that it specializes in prosthetics, rehabilitation, reconstructive surgery, hearing restoration and psychological support.

The facility provides assistance not only to military personnel, but also to civilians, both adults and children. Since the Center opened in April last year, more than 500 surgeries have been performed and more than 1,000 prostheses have been made here.

The Head of State toured a swimming pool, a rehabilitation room where people learn to use prostheses, gyms fully adapted for people with disabilities, and a state-of-the-art prosthetics laboratory.

“Thank you for building such a universe. I mean, this is not a hospital. Thank you for advancing this field. You are a great help to all people: warriors, their loved ones, and the state. Thank you very much. And maybe even other countries will find this experience very important,” the President said.

By the end of next year, similar centers are expected to be opened in Odessa and Dnipro.
