President Volodymyr Zelensky delivered an online address at the Warsaw Security Forum.
The opening speech is being streamed on the forum’s YouTube channel.
“Thank you for understanding that the threats we face can only be overcome together,” Zelensky said at the start of his speech.
He recalled the words of the renowned publicist and thinker Jerzy Giedroyc:
“Without a free Ukraine, there will be no free Poland.”
Overall, around 2,500 participants from about 90 countries are attending the Warsaw forum, held September 29–30, including heads of government, ministers, high-ranking officials, and leading experts. They will discuss key contemporary challenges: strengthening Europe’s defense capabilities, maintaining transatlantic unity, and holding Russia accountable for its aggression.
This year’s forum partner is France.
