Ukraine is ready to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation with Japan. Ukraine is offering its partners a win-win model that strengthens both sides. Ukrainian Defence Minister Yevhen Khmara said this during a meeting with a delegation of members of Japan’s House of Representatives led by Itsunori Onodera.
The Defence Minister thanked Japan for its economic and humanitarian support for Ukraine. He also briefed the delegation on the situation on the battlefield and the most critical threats posed by Russia.
“We appreciate that our partners stand with us during these difficult days, when Russia has intensified its aerial terror against Ukrainian civilians,” Yevhen Khmara said.

According to Khmara, Ukraine is interested in Japan’s engineering expertise in the construction of modern hospitals for the treatment of Ukrainian servicemen and women. Japanese equipment could also significantly improve the rehabilitation of wounded Ukrainian defenders.
The Defence Minister stressed that protecting the lives and health of Ukrainian military personnel is a priority for the state.
For his part, Itsunori Onodera assured Ukraine of Japan’s continued support.
