President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that staying silent about the fact that it is Russia killing children with ballistic missiles is wrong and dangerous.

He said this in his evening address published on the President’s website.

The Head of State noted that throughout the day, following the Russian strike on Kryvyi Rih, efforts have been ongoing in the city to save lives. Some of the wounded — particularly those in critical condition — were transported to Dnipro. Doctors are doing everything they can to save as many lives as possible.

“I thank everyone involved in this work, everyone who responded immediately to the call and is helping now. This strike is one of the darkest pages for Kryvyi Rih. Unfortunately, 18 people were killed, 9 of them children. The youngest was just 3 years old. My condolences to all the relatives and loved ones,” Zelensky said.

According to the President, many people around the world expressed their stance following the attack — a position of clear rejection of Russian terror.

“To everyone who sees this and does not close their eyes, who speaks the truth clearly and directly — not only we in Ukraine, but the whole world should be grateful,” he added.

Zelensky also stressed that keeping silent about the fact that it is Russia killing children with ballistic missiles is not only wrong — it is dangerous.

“It only encourages the scum in Moscow to continue the war and to keep ignoring diplomacy. Weakness has never ended a war. That’s why I’m grateful to every country whose representatives spoke out — leaders, foreign ministers, embassies,” he said.

The President also reminded that after the strike with a Russian ballistic missile on a regular city street, in a residential area, Russia’s army launched an additional drone attack. As a result, one more person was killed, and others were wounded.

“Russia must be held accountable for everything it has done, and pressure must be applied — real pressure, not wasting time on empty talk — in order to end this war,” Zelensky emphasized.
