The Ukrainian film âMy Thoughts are Silentâ directed by Antonio Lukich will be released on the HBO Europe streaming platform this fall.
The contract was signed back in spring, but only now the stage of transferring all the materials of the picture to HBO has finished.
The movie was created with the support of Ukrainian State Film Agency, it's the debut full-length film directed by Antonio Lukich. According to the producers of the movie Dmitry Sukhanov and Alla Belaya, the contract of the international sales agent Reason8 Films (UK) was signed this spring, but only now the stage of transferring all the materials of the film in accordance with HBO's international QC standards has been completed.
"My Thoughts Are Silent" is a Ukrainian comedy about a sound director who has to record the sounds of Transcarpathian animals. The hero goes on a business trip with his mother, which morally complicates the process of completing the task.
The premiere of the film "My Thoughts are Silent" took place on July 4, 2019 at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, where it won the Special Jury Award. In Ukraine, the film was first shown at the Odessa International Film Festival, where it received the Audience Award, the FIPRESCI Prize for the Best Ukrainian Film, as well as the Best Actor Award and a special jury mention.

The movie was released in Ukrainian on January 16, 2020 and stayed there for five weeks, collecting 9.4 million uah. In March, "My Thoughts are Silent" won the Best Film award at the Golden Dziga Award.
In addition, "My Thoughts are Silents" became the first movie in a ukrainian history to be released in Belarus in Ukrainian language.
