In Odessa, at the Vorontsov lighthouse, the 18-meter flag of Ukraine was raised. It was raised by a veteran of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Captain 1st Rank Oleg Grinko, who raised the Ukrainian flag, in 2014 did not change his oath of allegiance to the people of Ukraine and, together with his comrades in arms, left the occupied territory of Crimea.
Raising the flag at the lighthouse opened the thirteenth Vyshyvanka Festival, which will take place from 21 to 24 August on Primorsky Boulevard.
