Founded in 1996 in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Odessa region, Akkerman Distillery is today one of the largest wineries in Ukraine and a new interesting player in the Ukrainian wine market.

The wine history of this region dates back to ancient times, when six hundred years BC the ancient Greeks founded the first colonies in the Northern Black Sea.

To its potential, the Odessa region is able to compete with Bordeaux, Piedmont, Champagne and the Rhine Valley. The uniqueness of the Odessa terroir is conditioned by the influence of continental and maritime climate, salt estuaries and rich southern black earths. About 250 sunny days a year, most of the region lies within the so-called "wine latitude".

The Odessa region presented the world with unique local grape varieties and is ideally suited for growing classic European varieties: Chardonnay, Muscat, Traminer, Cabernet, Bastardo, Pinot Noir and others. And the city of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, which is located south of Odessa, is the historic homeland of winemaking in the Odessa region.

Akkerman Distillery was founded in 1996 in Odessa region, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi. It is the ancient name of the city - Akkerman - the company owes its name. Today, the Akkerman Distillery is one of the largest manufacturing enterprises in Ukraine producing such products as wines and brandies of TM Aznauri, wines of TM Lustdorf, brandies of TM Art Glass. It has been completely updated and upgraded in 2019.

Continuing a millennium-long history of Odessa Region winemakers, Akkerman Distillery masters craft exquisite natural wines and brandies up to the highest international standards.

Their wines and brandies owe impeccable quality, well-balanced aroma, and immaculate taste to select grape varieties harvested in Odessa Region, state-of-the-art equipment by leading European manufacturers, and genuine talent of Akkerman Distillery winemakers.

The production has state-of-the-art equipment from leading European manufacturers: Arol, Bertolaso Group, Borelli Group. A huge capacity park, which can simultaneously store 2,500,000 liters of wine. An innovative production line of 6000 bottles per hour delivers 24,000,000 bottles per year.

Akkerman Distillery has its own state-of-the-art laboratory, which guarantees quality control at all stages of production. The company operates according to the standard ISO 22000. All products are certified and meet international quality standards. Professional and dedicated winemakers and technologists create unique recipes, proven over the years and refined by experience.
