In 2021, 5 beaches of the Odessa region received the Blue flag international award. Blue Flag is pure water, clean coasts, safety and access for all.

The iconic Blue Flag is one of the world’s most recognised voluntary awards for beaches, marinas, and sustainable boating tourism operators. In order to qualify for the Blue Flag, a series of stringent environmental, educational, safety, and accessibility criteria must be met and maintained. Central to the ideals of the Blue Flag programme is the aim of connecting the public with their surroundings and encouraging them to learn more about their environment.

In 2021, 5 beaches of the Odessa region received the Blue flag international award:

• Prichal No. 1
• Caleton
• SunDali Beach
• Zanzibar Beach
• City beach of Chernomorsk

To receive this award, the beach must meet 30 criteria, including:

• Environmental education and information
• Water quality
• Environmental management
• Safety and services

The Blue flag award is valid from June 1st to August 31st. Most likely, the winning beaches will be clean until the end of the season, since from September 1 the flow of tourists almost stops.

Prichal No.1

Odessans know Prichal no.1 rather as a popular family restaurant on the seashore near Lanzheron beach. The restaurant has been operating since 2013. Odessans love this place, despite its remoteness from the passages.

Caleton

Caleton is one of the newest beach clubs in Odessa. But he has already fallen in love with family residents of Odessa, who love a comfortable stay in a calm atmosphere. SunDali Beach

SunDali is one of the newest and most comfortable beach complexes in the Odessa region, in the area of ​​the elite cottage village Fontanka. From the center of Odessa by car you can get here in 20 minutes. The beach is spacious, with a gentle entrance to the sea and a rocky bottom. The beach bottom is cleaned regularly. There are several levels, there is a recreation area for people with disabilities. There is even a convenient descent to the water for them.

Zanzibar Beach

Another clean beach in the Odessa Fontanka area. Spacious beach with a rocky entrance to the sea. The beach complex has a restaurant and bar. There is a playground for children right on the sand. Sun loungers, beach beds, umbrellas and tables, showers with fresh water, a first-aid post, changing rooms and toilets - everything is as it should be.

Chernomorsk City Beach

Odessans adore the central beach of Chernomorsk, although it is about 40 minutes from the center of Odessa to go here. It is very clean, spacious, the sand is sifted regularly. The descent is gentle, the bottom is clean and sandy. Plenty of space free of sun loungers - you can safely come with your own bedding. There are free carports. There are no breakwaters here, so the waves are higher and the water is cleaner.
