Comment by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, about his visit to Zambia:
"Today in Zambia, I am pleased to be received by President Hakainde Hichilema to continue the dialogue between the Zambian leader and President Zelensky. We value Zambia's solidarity with Ukraine and President Hichilema's personal involvement in efforts to restore a just and lasting peace as part of the group of African leaders.
Following the Peace Summit and Zambia's recent decision to join its communique, Kuleba elaborated on the logic of Ukraine's next steps in implementing the Peace Formula on the path to the Second Peace Summit. He expressed confidence that Zambia and all of Africa have an important role to play in the journey toward peace.
Dmytro Kuleba also announced Ukraine's decision to provide Zambia with assistance under the humanitarian program 'Grain from Ukraine' to help address the consequences of this year's devastating drought.
"We also discussed several areas where we can deepen and strengthen our bilateral partnership, including agriculture, digitalization, energy security, economic cooperation, and trade," commented Dmytro Kuleba.
