Kernel Holding S.A. has reported damage to its terminal infrastructure in the Black Sea port of Port of Chornomorsk following a drone attack attributed to Russian forces during the night of June 4–5, 2026.
According to the company, the strike affected grain storage and handling facilities, resulting in grain spillage and a temporary disruption of terminal operations. Auxiliary warehouse buildings were also damaged in the incident.
Kernel stated that cleanup operations are currently underway, while teams are assessing the full scope of physical damage and financial losses. The company noted that the overall operational impact remains uncertain at this stage.

Preliminary assessments suggest that the damage could negatively affect the terminal’s grain handling capacity and may lead to reduced throughput during the recovery period. However, the duration and extent of the disruption have yet to be determined.
The Chornomorsk terminal is part of Ukraine’s critical export infrastructure, playing a role in grain logistics through the Black Sea corridor. Any sustained disruption could add pressure to already sensitive export flows amid ongoing security risks in the region.
