The second Startup Support Fund in Ukraine from Google will select startups on an ongoing basis and, like the first one, will provide funding of up to $100,000.
The technology giant Google has launched its second fund as part of the Startup Ukraine Support Fund initiative with a budget of $10 million for providing non-equity cash grants throughout 2024 and 2025, as stated in the company's blog.
"Since the start of the devastating war in Ukraine, Google has allocated over $45 million in cash and $7 million in non-cash form to support humanitarian efforts for the benefit of people in Ukraine and those fleeing the war. We also aim to leverage our products to assist people affected by the war, such as protecting against cyberattacks and combating misinformation," Google reminded.
In March 2022, Google created the Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund, which provided financial support in the form of $5 million in non-equity grants to 58 recipients. Startups supported by the Ukraine Support Fund received an additional $15.8 million in funding.
Under the new fund, the company will announce selected startups to receive up to $100,000 in undiluted funding, as well as ongoing mentoring from Google, product support, and up to $300,000 in cloud technology credits.
