The demining experts of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine will receive 22 mechanized demining vehicles from the government of Japan.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The corresponding statement was made by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs following meetings with the leadership of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The Ukrainian delegation discussed further steps in developing cooperation in the field of mine action.
By the end of this year, Ukraine will receive 14 mechanized demining vehicles from the Government of Japan and JICA, with the remaining 8 to be received by April of next year. Twelve of them are produced by NIKKEN, while the other ten are from another Japanese manufacturer.
