Before the war, Ed Sheeran shot a music video for the song 2step in Kyiv. Among the locations are the night streets in Pozniaky and the building of the mechanical and mathematical building of the Taras Shevchenko National University.

2step was included on Ed Sheeran's fifth album, entitled = (2021). The video was shot for a remix with Lil Baby, released on April 22, 2022. The rapper also appears in the video.

Ed Sheeran shared his impressions of Ukraine and said he would direct the proceeds from watching the video to humanitarian needs:

"I shot a video on 2step in Kyiv before the devastating acts of violence began. This was my first visit to Ukraine, and during my stay there, I was welcomed by everyone - from the production team to many people I met on days off.

Ukraine is a proud and resilient country, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to shoot my video there. I support Ukraine and will transfer royalties from the video on YouTube to the British Emergency Committee for the humanitarian needs of Ukraine."
