Ports in the Odesa region have handled 150 million tons of grain, 40 million of which were previously transported through Mykolaiv ports, according to USM.
This was reported during the forum “Ukrainian South: Resilience. Recovery. Future.”
Over the two years of the “grain corridor” operation, Odesa ports processed around 150 million tons of grain, with approximately 6,000 vessels calling at the ports.

Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleg Kiper noted that, despite shelling, the ports are striving to operate at pre-war capacity.
Meanwhile, Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration head Vitaliy Kim clarified that 40 million tons of this volume were previously handled through Mykolaiv ports.
Forum participants also discussed and supported the development of a state programme for economic recovery and the creation of a new development vector for Ukraine’s southern regions. The goal is to transform the South into a strong, competitive region through projects focused on modernizing ports and river corridors, developing green energy, launching industrial parks, and establishing IT hubs.
