PandaDoc are opening a company in Odessa and actively searching for new staff, including not only engineers but also sales and marketing managers.

On September 2, searches were carried out in PandaDoc’s Minsk office. Furthermore, houses and apartments of several members of staff were searched too. More than a hundred people were interrogated over the next two days. Four employees were detained and criminally charged for misappropriating public funds. Their pre-trial restriction is two months in custody. They were accused of embezzlement of budgetary funds committed by a group of persons using their official position. The amount of damage to the state from a private company, according to investigators, is about 40 thousand dollars.

Nikita Mikado calls it as a political repression with the purpose to put pressure on him. He was one of the first technology entrepreneurs to openly disagree with the results of the presidential election.

PandaDoc is an all-in-one document automation software that simplifies the process to generate, negotiate, and eSign proposals, contracts, and agreements. The company is headquartered in San Francisco. About $ 50 million has been invested in the PandaDoc startup in total.

Due to the pressure on the company, PandaDoc’s employees are leaving Belarus. As of today, about 60 employees of PandaDoc have moved from Minsk to Ukraine and are now living in Kyiv, Odessa and Lviv.

Ukraine has several advantages. The first is the local "talent market". For the second is that everyone speaks Russian. And those guys who come from Belarus find it a little easier. There are issues with migration legislation, but Ukrainian government is actively involved in resolving them. And fourth, the tax conditions in Ukraine are very favorable, even more favorable than in Belarus.
