Over three years, Poland provided satellite support to Ukraine worth 323 Million zlotys
According to Polska Zbrojna, between 2022 and 2024, Poland spent nearly 323 million zlotys (approx. $80 million USD) on Starlink for Ukraine. This amount includes both the purchase of devices and subscription costs.
This year, no new purchases are planned, but subscription fees are expected to exceed 77 million zlotys, according to data published by Poland’s Ministry of Digital Affairs.
The funds come from the Ukrainian Assistance Fund, established by the Polish government after Russia’s full-scale invasion began on February 24, 2022. Thanks to this support, Ukraine has received 24,500 satellite terminals so far, while an additional 5,100 terminals were donated by other Polish entities. The Polish government covers the subscription fees for all these devices.
The article also notes that out of the 5,000 terminals purchased between late 2024 and March this year, 1,584 units have already been delivered to Ukraine. The remainder are stored at the Polish National Institute of Telecommunications. The responsibility for receiving and transporting the terminals lies with the Ukrainian side.
